Community Employment

When you are ready for a job, we can help with that. Illinois Valley works in conjunction with the Division of Rehabilitation to help people with intellectual, developmental, physical, medical, sensory and emotional barriers to employment find work. This program is completely funded by the Division of Rehabilitation and is no cost to you. We can help you find a job, keep a job and attain advancement at your current job. We provide job coaching to you and supports to your employer for job modifications and accommodations to help you keep working.

Through our contract with the Division of Rehabilitation and the Competitive Integrated Employment Capacity (CIE) grant, we have dedicated staff to help you be successful in your job search AND on the job.

The CIE grant provides IVI with the ability to provide more outreach and enhanced education opportunities for the community, potential clients and employers about the benefits of employment for people with employment barriers.  Additionally, the grant provides staff many professional development opportunities to best serve and support people who are looking for work and people who would like help on the job to help them be successful.

Lastly, our Community Employment program provides employment solutions for employers at no cost to them.  We have information on job accommodations, tax incentives, best practices for long term employment through support, education and guidance with in person, on the job assistance from an IVI staff member.
