Mission: Illinois Valley Industries will help people participate in their community, live independently, contribute to society and enhance the quality of their lives.
Overall Goal: The ultimate goal of every program at Illinois Valley Industries is independence. Program participants receive assistance in obtaining and maintaining their optimal level of independence through community education and awareness, recreation, social experiences, and light assembly work.
The Organization: Members of the community comprise the volunteer board of directors.
Funding for Programs comes from several areas:
- Illinois Dept. of Human Services
- United Way of Grundy County
- Contracts with local industries
- Privately paid fees
- Donations from businesses, local organizations, churches, memorials and individuals.
